Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christian ministry that provides a place to heal for children, ages 10-18, who have psychiatric, behavioral, and trauma issues. Children who come to the Ranch have a structured and safe environment in which to live, learn, and heal. They also have 24-hour access to highly trained and qualified staff who provide structure, direction, and modeling–teaching them the skills they need to lead productive and satisfying lives.

The North Dakota Department of Human Services is the regulatory agency for 24-hour child care facilities in the state and sets the standards for child care and group home facilities. The Licensing Review Teams visit each facility annually, plus random onsite visits.
All private schools in North Dakota must be approved by the superintendent of public instruction for the state. Teachers at approved private schools must be licensed and the state checks to see that all schools offer the proper subjects required by law. Criminal background checks are required for all school employees and each private school must meet all the state requirements for fire, health, sanitation and safety. There is no state policy for testing or for professional development.

PLEASE NOTICE...
Several prominent social media activists who believe that teenagers should be allowed to do and act in whatever way they wish are seeking to have all therapeutic programs for youth shut down. To that end, they encourage their willing followers to write fake negative reviews about such programs. The goal is to destabilize and force program closures nationwide. Remember this as you read online reviews, since many today are fake and the program can do nothing about them. Feel free to call us for more information about any program.
